The Mercedes-AMG Team HRT with starting number 16 is declared winner of the third round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series. In the course of a technical inspection, the use of an unmarked tyre was discovered on the Ferrari 488 GT3 of the Octane 126 team. This led to the team's disqualification. The AM Solutions Mercedes-AMG GT3 of the HAUPT RACING TEAM moves up one position and is now declared winner of the 52nd ADAC Barbarossapreis. Thus, Maro Engel, Manuel Metzger, Adam Christodoulou and Luca Stolz win both runs of the NLS double header.  The new result is still subject to confirmation. 

Having scored its maiden victory on the previous day, HRT adds the next impressive achievement in the third round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS): in the 52nd ADAC Barbarossapreis, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 with starting number #16 secured second place. A little bit further down, the #17 Mercedes-AMG GT3 finishes eighth, securing the second top ten result for HAUPT RACING TEAM. The #6 Mercedes-AMG GT3 rounds out the overall score for HRT with eleventh place.

In the second round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS), HAUPT RACING TEAM has secured the maiden win in its still brief team history. The #16 Mercedes-AMG GT3 with Luca Stolz, Manuel Metzger, Adam Christodoulou and Maro Engel as its drivers beat the entire opposition in the field of 155 participants and thus secured the maiden race win for HRT in the 60th ADAC Reinoldus-Langstreckenrennen.

#16 Mercedes-AMG GT3 to make its debut in NLS double header on 11 and 12 July. AM Solutions – 3D post processing technology is continuing its successful partnership with a Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing Team and is becoming a technology partner of the newly-founded HAUPT RACING TEAM. As a result of this partnership, HRT will be running one Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the classic orange-and-black AM Solutions livery in the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS), the GT World Challenge Europe and the ADAC TOTAL 24h-Rennen Nürburgring (24-27 September). This weekend already, the works-supported car with starting number 16 will be in action during the NLS double header.

A great debut for HAUPT RACING TEAM (HRT): the HRT outfit, newly-founded by Hubert Haupt, finishes second in the opening round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series and also claims pole position. In the process, Maro Engel posted a time of 7m59.191s during qualifying in the morning, the fastest in the field with 137 participants and went on to add the fastest race lap during his final stint. Patrick Assenheimer took the start with the #6 Mercedes-AMG GT3 and immediately built up a margin for the HRT team that had prepared its participation at the Nürburgring within the shortest time frame.

Hubert Haupt is intensifying his long-standing involvement as a motorsport entrepreneur. With HRT, the well-known racing driver and successful real estate developer is now turning his long cherished vision of his own motorsport team into reality. In 2020, the newly-founded HAUPT RACING TEAM will be competing in the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS), the Nürburgring 24-hour race and the GT World Challenge Europe. In terms of know-how and manpower, HRT is relying on experienced experts with whom Haupt has been able to achieve outstanding GT3 success in previous years. Straight away, the team is receiving extended support from Mercedes-AMG.
