Mercedes-AMG Team HRT claimed a podium and another top-five result at the second race weekend of the 2022 DTM season. Both Luca Stolz (GER) and Arjun Maini (IND) fared well at the Lausitzring, particularly in the Saturday race: starting from P4, Stolz climbed into second place in the #4 Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the blue and yellow livery of team partner Bilstein. In doing so, the 26-year-old repeated his podium success from Portimão. Team-mate Maini also produced a flawless performance in the #36 blue and white PAUL car. The 24-year-old finished fourth, narrowly missing out on his first podium for HRT.

Next week (26th to 29th May), the eyes of motorsport enthusiasts all over the world will be on the Nürburgring, when the Eifel circuit’s famous Gesamtstrecke (Whole Course) layout hosts the 50th edition of the legendary 24-hour race. Haupt Racing Team is making its third appearance at this motorsport highlight in the Green Hell, and is looking to challenge at the very front.

The Lausitzring hosts the second event of the 2022 DTM season this weekend. Mercedes-AMG Team HRT once again lines up with two cars as it goes in pursuit of more championship points on the 4.563-kilometre layout.

Haupt Racing Team and Swedish textile manufacturer Jobman Workwear GmbH have entered into a partnership. The specialist in high-quality workwear is now official outfitter of HRT, as well as a new sponsor and team partner.

In just four weeks, it will be that time again: On 28th May, the lights will go green, signalling the start of the 50th staging of the ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring. This weekend (6th to 8th May), Haupt Racing team will be in action at the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers. The team from Meuspath will contest two three-hour races on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, as it looks to secure a good starting position for the 24-hour classic.

The Mercedes-AMG Team HRT has started the 2022 DTM season with a podium finish. Luca Stolz (GER) drove his blue and yellow #4 Mercedes-AMG GT3 of team partner Bilstein to second place overall in the season opening race at Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão, Portugal. He also secured the additional point for the fastest race lap. In Sunday's heat, Stolz was less fortunate: due to a puncture following a collision caused by a competitor, the 26-year-old had to park his car shortly after the start of the race. His teammate Arjun Maini (IND) drove the blue and white PAUL Mercedes-AMG GT3 with the #36 to P17 on Saturday. In the second heat – starting from P25 after a difficult Qualifying – he showed a strong performance and eventually crossed the finish line in P13.

Haupt Racing Team has entered into a strategic collaboration with Swiss group Merbag. The Mercedes-Benz dealer has branches throughout Europe and, as official mobility partner, will now support the successful GT3 motorsport team from Meuspath with various Mercedes-Benz team cars. Furthermore, additional joint projects and corporate events are also planned, including the building of a customer service centre at the new HRT site at the Nürburgring.

HRT’s first season in the DTM could not have reached a more successful conclusion: The final round at the Norisring could hardly have been more exciting and saw HRT driver Maximilian Götz (GER) clinch the drivers’ title in this prestigious series, which was held according to GT3 regulations for the first time. HRT has set itself high goals and will be competing with two new drivers when the 2022 DTM season gets underway this weekend: Mercedes-AMG Performance Driver Luca Stolz (GER) and Junior Driver Arjun Maini (IND) will do battle for points and podiums in the two Mercedes-AMG GT3s of Haupt Racing Team.

Haupt Racing Team achieved a top ten finish at the third round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) – with one more rehearsal before the 24h Nürburgring, the 24h Nürburgring qualifiers. Manuel Metzger and Luca Stolz (both GER) drove the blue and yellow Mercedes-AMG GT3 #12, which competed with the "Mercedes-AMG Team Bilstein" entry, to tenth place after starting from 27th position. Nico Bastian (GER), Philip Ellis (SUI) and Hubert Haupt (GER) also showed a good performance in the sister car #6 by nu concept, in the design of team partner PAUL: Starting from P25, the driver trio drove further and further forward, but eventually had to retire the car after 22 laps because of a contact.

Maximilian Götz (GER), at the wheel of the Haupt Racing Team Mercedes-AMG GT3, was crowned 2021 DTM champion at his home race at the Norisring – the team from Meuspath could not have enjoyed a more successful rookie season in the prestigious German sprint series. Ahead of the opening round of the 2022 season on 30th April, TV show ‘ran’ will look back at how the incredible story unfolded in a three-part documentary.
