Support for the Haupt Racing Team is growing: with the new season approaching, AutoArenA has now also been confirmed as team partner in 2021. The well-known brand of the AssenheimerMulfinger car dealership will feature prominently on all the race cars run by HRT on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife and in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS. As an additional highlight, the plan is for one Mercedes-AMG GT3 to sport a full AutoArenA livery at rounds one and three of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS). The team sponsorship marks the continuation of the successful and thriving partnership between HRT and AutoArenA, which was launched last year.
- Haupt Racing Team and AutoArenA expand existing partnership
- Continuous presence in NLS, 24-hour races and GT World Challenge
- One Mercedes-AMG GT3 in full AutoArenA livery at NLS1 and NLS3
Pre-season preparations are in full swing at HRT. The team from Meuspath has the wind in its sails, thanks in no small part to the confirmation that AutoArenA will once again be on board as team sponsor in 2021. Last year, this cooperation proved hugely successful: when the newly-formed HRT AutoArenA team made its debut in 2020, drivers Patrick Assenheimer and Maro Engel promptly finished runner-up at the opening round of the NLS season. The AutoArenA Mercedes-AMG GT3 finished third to claim another podium at round four of the NLS, this time with Assenheimer, Dominik Baumann and Dirk Müller. The works-supported Mercedes-AMG Team HRT AutoArenA also secured an outstanding top-ten result at the Nürburgring 24 Hours.
HRT and AutoArenA are now expanding their successful partnership for the 2021 season. As well as in the NLS and the 24-hour race, the car dealership’s name will now also be there for all to see in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS. In this series, the Haupt Racing Team will contest the Endurance Cup races, with the focus on both the overall competition and the title race in the Silver Cup. Meanwhile, within the Nordschleife programme, particular emphasis will be placed on NLS races one and three: at these events, one Mercedes-AMG GT3 will take to the grid in a striking AutoArenA livery.
Hubert Haupt, team owner HRT
“We are delighted to be continuing the good cooperation. AutoArenA has been a partner of HRT from the outset, and one with whom we immediately claimed a podium in our very first race in 2020 – you obviously form a real bond through things like that. We will build on that in 2021 and set our sights on more top results together at the Nürburgring, as well as at European level. I am also very pleased that, with AutoArenA, we are also continuing our cooperation with Patrick Assenheimer - I really appreciate him as a fast and intelligent fellow driver!”
Marcel Stadtmüller, managing director of the AssenheimerMulfinger car dealership group
“It is fantastic to go into the new season with HRT. The team’s professional concept and passionate engagement impressed us to such a degree last year that we will now expand our involvement in 2021. We are all looking forward to the start of the racing season, when we will represent AutoArenA as well as possible at the Nürburgring and the racetracks within the GT World Challenge.”
