Lights go green again: The 24-hour race in Dubai (14th to 16th January) heralds the start of the 2021 motorsport season for the Haupt Racing Team. HRT will enter its debut race in the desert state with two cars: the #4 Mercedes-AMG GT3 will compete under the HRT Bilstein entry in the Dubai Autodrome and will be driven by team owner Hubert Haupt, Maro Engel, Khaled Al Qubaisi, Patrick Assenheimer as well as Ryan Ratcliffe - the car decked out entirely in Bilstein’s blue and yellow will start in the GT3-Pro class. Meanwhile, the red sister car #5 will compete as HRT Abu Dhabi Racing in the GT3-Am category. Nico Bastian, Valentin Pierburg and Florian Scholze will share driving duties and will be supported by Al Qubaisi and Assenheimer who are eligible to drive both cars.
