The highlight of the season on the Nordschleife is just around the corner for the Haupt Racing Team. At the 54th edition of the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, HRT will line up under the name HRT Ford Racing with three Ford Mustang GT3s and a strong driver lineup. After intensive preparations during the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) and at the ADAC 24h Qualifier, the team arrives at its home track in excellent shape.

  • HRT Ford Racing to field three Ford Mustang GT3s at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring
  • Strong and experienced driver lineup

Following the Ford Mustang GT3’s debut last year, which saw a class victory in the SP9 Pro-Am, the American muscle car will now tackle the Eifel classic equipped with the new EVO Performance Package. HRT Ford Racing has already gained valuable experience on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife in the NLS races so far this 2026 season, as well as at the ADAC 24h Qualifier.

For this tradition-steeped endurance race, HRT Ford Racing is fielding a strong driver lineup with extensive GT3 and Nürburgring Nordschleife experience. The #64 Ford Mustang GT3, which will take to the track in a full livery provided by team partner RAVENOL, will be driven by DTM driver Arjun Maini (IND), Fabio Scherer (SUI)—the NLS qualifying lap record holder—last year’s class winner David Schumacher, and Nordschleife expert Frank Stippler (both GER).

The sister car #67 will take to the track sporting the Bundeswehr’s spectacular camouflage livery. Ford factory drivers Christopher Mies (GER), Dennis Olsen (NOR), Frédéric Vervisch (BEL), and double starter Frank Stippler will battle it out for the top spots. Between them, this quartet has a total of eight overall victories in this legendary endurance classic.

Rounding out the lineup is the #65 Ford Mustang GT3, which will race the 24 Hours of the “Green Hell” in the familiar YOKOHAMA livery. Colin Caresani (NED), team founder Hubert Haupt (GER), Vincent Kolb (GER), and David Schumacher—who is also making a double start—will share the wheel. The #65 is the only one of the three cars competing in the SP9 Pro-Am category.

With a team of experienced Nordschleife specialists, international GT3 drivers, and an extensive testing and racing program, HRT Ford Racing is looking forward to the upcoming race weekend with optimism. The ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring is one of the greatest challenges in international motorsports and attracts hundreds of thousands of fans year after year to the legendary combination of the Grand Prix circuit and the Nordschleife.

Starting on Wednesday, May 13, fans will have the opportunity to see the cars and drivers up close at the Adenauer Racing Day. Following the qualifying sessions on Thursday and Friday, the race weekend will reach its climax when the lights finally turn green for the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring on Saturday, May 16, at 3:00 p.m. local time.

Ulrich Fritz, Chief Executive Officer Haupt Racing Team: “The past few weeks have been incredibly important for us in terms of getting to know the Ford Mustang GT3 with the new EVO package better under the specific conditions of the Nordschleife and continuing to develop it. We were able to gain valuable experience both in the NLS races and in the 24h Qualifiers. Now we’re looking forward to tackling the biggest race of the year with a strong driver lineup. The ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring is always a special challenge and, at the same time, an absolute highlight on the motorsport calendar.”

Arjun Maini, Ford Mustang GT3 #64: "A big highlight of the season is just ahead for me - the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. I’m really looking forward to the weekend and to letting the powerful Ford Mustang GT3 off the leash again in the Green Hell. We have a solid base and I'm looking forward to picking up where we left off last year. With the Evo package, I'm hopeful we can compete at the very front and achieve a solid result.“

Fabio Scherer, Ford Mustang GT3 #64: “I’m really looking forward to the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring - it’ll be my first time. It’s especially cool to be starting in a strong car, the Ford Mustang GT3, and with a strong HRT Ford Racing lineup. Driving at night at the Nürburgring will be a new challenge for me, but I bring experience from other 24-hour races - let’s see how it goes on the Nordschleife. I think we have a good chance of competing at the front.”

David Schumacher, Ford Mustang GT3 #64 / #65: “Racing at the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring is always something special. The Nürburgring Nordschleife is the most challenging track in the world, and in a 24-hour race, anything can happen. Returning this year to Ford Racing, Multimatic and the Mustang GT3, run by Haupt Racing Team, makes the opportunity even more exciting. After finishing fourth-place overall and taking the class win last year, the target is clear – we want to build on that and fight for an even stronger result. We’ve prepared well as a team, and I’m really looking forward to getting back into the car and pushing for the best possible outcome.“

Frank Stippler, Ford Mustang GT3 #64 / 67: "I expect some additional spectators for this year's 24 Hours of the Nürburgring , and there might even be a new spectator record which is highly motivating. I'll keep fingers crossed for them that we have a sunny weekend. Ford Racing and HRT prepared the Ford Mustang GT3 in a best possible way, and I'm hopeful that we'll have a chance to fight for the podium.“

Colin Caresani, Ford Mustang GT3 #65: "After a year's absence from the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, I'm incredibly excited to be back at this magical race. Joining forces with HRT Ford Racing for the first time makes it even more special. The programme has been very successful at the Nordschleife so far, and with our shared commitment, I hope to continue that form onto the big one.“

Hubert Haupt, Ford Mustang GT3 #65: “I’m looking forward to competing again in this year’s ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring race in the Ford Mustang GT3.Together with Yokohama, we’ve prepared very well and hope that we now have a strong overall package for the race, which is sure to feature an extremely competitive field.“

Vincent Kolb, Ford Mustang GT3 #65: "The 24 Hours of Nürburgring is always a highlight of the season. The competition is incredibly strong, but with the No. 65 HRT Ford Racing Mustang GT3, we feel well prepared and focused on delivering a consistent race. On the Nordschleife, anything can happen — the key is to stay sharp, avoid mistakes, and be there at the end.“

Christopher Mies, Ford Mustang GT3 #67: "The 24-hour race at the Nürburgring is always a real highlight of my racing calendar—not least because I’ve already won this classic event three times. This year, I’ll be driving the HRT Ford Mustang GT3 for the first time, and I’m looking forward to the challenge. I think we have a strong lineup and are very well prepared. We’ll definitely give it our all to achieve a top result and to deliver an exciting race and a great show for the fans.“

Dennis Olsen, Ford Mustang GT3 #67: "I’m really looking forward to the 24-hour race. It’ll be exciting to be in the same car with Chris and Fred again - a lineup featuring Daytona class winners. I'm excited to put the Ford Mustang GT3, with the Evo package, on the track. We experienced it a few times, especially in the Qualifiers, and it gave us a very positive feeling. We’re heading into the 24-hour race with a very competitive mindset and look forward to the challenge.“

Frédéric Vervisch, Ford Mustang GT3 #67: “It’s been two years since I competed in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring and my first with the Ford Mustang GT3. My first experience on the Nordschleife since then was with the Ford GT Mk IV, which was a special moment for me. We podiumed afterward in NLS 3, which was my first time driving the Mustang GT3 there. They are both great memories, and the icing on the cake would be finishing the 24-hour race on a high.”
