With Ulrich Fritz joining the board, HRT is reaching the next stage of its development while maintaining continuity in leadership and strategy. Fritz, who has led the company as managing director since 2021, will assume additional managerial responsibilities and play an even more active role in shaping the team’s future.
Since its founding in 2020, HRT has quickly established itself as a major player in international motorsports. Under the leadership of Ulrich Fritz, the team has undergone targeted development in recent years – from expanding its professional racing operations and establishing the HRT RACE BASE at the Nürburgring to forming a strategic partnership with Ford Racing.
Today, HRT operates as a comprehensive motorsports company with a clear growth strategy. In addition to its involvement in leading international GT series (DTM, ADAC GT Masters, NLS, ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS, and Intercontinental GT Challenge, etc.), a central focus is on its role as an engineering and development partner in high-performance motorsports. At the same time, HRT actively promotes the targeted development of young talent and offers them a seamless career path from karting all the way to the DTM.
Ulrich Fritz will hold a significant stake in the company, which is majority-owned by the Haupt family. At the end of 2023, team founder Hubert Haupt sold his stake in the company, but remained closely involved with the team, supporting its development both in an advisory role and actively as a driver. The Haupt family is now once again the majority shareholder.
