The Haupt Racing Team is entering this year's ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring with a strong and exceptional partner: the Drees-based team will be fielding a Ford Mustang GT3 in the striking corporate design of the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) at the highlight of the season. In addition to the 24-hour race, the partnership also includes the preparatory races in the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS).

  • Bundeswehr becomes new partner of Haupt Racing Team
  • Ford Mustang GT3 in striking polygon design on the Nordschleife
  • Focus on career and development opportunities in the Bundeswehr

The Nürburgring Nordschleife has a new eye-catcher – a Ford Mustang GT3 featuring the corporate design of the Bundeswehr. The racing car, with its characteristic camouflage polygon look, is fielded by the Haupt Racing Team. The joint program of HRT and the Bundeswehr includes entries in the Nürburgring Endurance Series and the legendary Nordschleife classic, the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring.

The newly established partnership between HRT and the Bundeswehr focuses entirely on recruitment. The Ford Mustang GT3 with its olive green livery bears the message “MIT UNS DEN DIENST WAGEN” (DARE TO SERVE WITH US), among others, leveraging the emotional environment of motorsports to promote the Bundeswehr as a modern employer. During the 24-hour race from May 14 to 17, 2026, the Bundeswehr will also have a career truck at the Nürburgring to inform visitors about the wide range of career and entry-level opportunities offered by the Bundeswehr. The partnership between HRT and the Bundeswehr was arranged by SKH Sports.

Ulrich Fritz, Chief Executive Officer Haupt Racing Team: “The collaboration with the Bundeswehr is a great honor for HRT. Motorsport and the military have a lot in common. Both fields depend on commitment, team spirit, and technology. This is especially true for the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring, where people and equipment are pushed to their limits. We are delighted to be tackling this challenge together and raising the profile of the Bundeswehr as a modern, attractive employer.”

Brigadegeneral Walter Schulte, head of the recruitment department at the Federal Office of Personnel Management of the Bundeswehr, is excited about the collaboration. “The Bundeswehr offers a wide range of career and development opportunities in technology, medicine, IT, logistics, and much more, both in military and civilian roles. Our partnership with the Haupt Racing Team allows us to showcase these opportunities where teamwork and motivation converge. This collaboration is an authentic way to combine sports and vocation.”
