With the switch to Ford Performance this year, the Haupt Racing Team has opened a new chapter in its success story. Supported by the renowned car manufacturer, the Haupt Racing Team is competing with a strong line-up in numerous prestigious championships and races in Europe. Along with the DTM races, the debut of the Ford Mustang GT3 in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring is a highlight of the season. The team also competes in the ADAC GT Masters, the GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS and the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series.

  • Ford Mustang GT3 premieres at the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring
  • Intensive promotion of young talent from karting to DTM

The world's biggest endurance race will have one more attraction in 2025: the Ford Mustang GT3. HRT Ford Performance will compete in this year's ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring (June 19-22) with three of these spectacular race cars. The powerful line-up includes six drivers from Ford Performance, including two former 24h Nürburgring winners. Promising young talents and experienced Nordschleife specialists round off the line-up.

In the #64 Ford Mustang GT3, Arjun Maini (IND), Dennis Olsen (NOR), Jusuf Owega and Frank Stippler (GER) will take turns. The latter celebrated his third victory in last year's 24-hour race on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife. In the #65 car, the team is relying on a strong quartet of youngsters with David Schumacher, Dennis Fetzer, Salman Owega and - as a double starter - his brother Jusuf (all GER). In the #63 is Dirk Müller, another driver who has already made his mark on the winners' list of the prestigious endurance race. He shares the Ford Mustang GT3 with Patrick Assenheimer, Vincent Kolb and Hubert Haupt (all GER).

Preparations for the season highlight at the Nürburgring are already in full swing at HRT Ford Performance. The team has been in action in the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) with the Ford Mustang GT3 since the season opener in March, regularly fielding up to three cars. Also well underway are the programs with two entries in the DTM and three entries in the GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS. In the ADAC GT Masters, HRT competes with three Ford Mustang GT3s.

In the DTM, the debut of the Ford Mustang GT3 went well. At the season opener in Oschersleben, Ford Performance Factory Driver Arjun Maini scored the first championship point. At the second DTM stop at the Lausitzring, the Indian scored further points. Ford Performance GT3 Junior Driver Fabio Scherer (SUI) also delivered a solid performance in the first races of the 2025 DTM season. At the second stop of the season, the Ford Mustang GT3 #64 of the Swiss driver competed for the first time in full livery of the new team partners German Airways and Speedlink.

At the ADAC GT Masters season opener at the Lausitzring last weekend, three Ford Mustang GT3s celebrated a successful premiere with two podium finishes: In the first race, Salman Owega and Finn Wiebelhaus (both GER) took second place, closely followed by Niklas Kalus and Max Reis (both GER) in third. The HRT duo of Jonathan Cecotto and Dennis Fetzer (both GER) also secured a top result in the second race of the weekend with fifth place. For HRT, the ADAC GT Masters is all about promoting young talent. The new cooperation with the SIM-ON kart team is aimed in the same direction. As part of the “Road to DTM” initiative, HRT is enabling young talents to follow a continuous path from karting up to the DTM.

In the GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS, HRT Ford Performance will be competing on ten race weekends on various traditional European racetracks. The Ford Mustang GT3 is represented in both the Endurance Cup and the Sprint Cup. The calendar of the endurance championship includes another endurance highlight with the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa (June 25-29). At the first race of the season in Le Castellet, France, the two Ford Mustang GT3s entered by HRT Ford Performance finished in the top 10 in their respective classes and will also be on the attack at the endurance classic in Belgium.
