Next Saturday, 11 January 2025, the Haupt Racing Team will face its first endurance test of the new year at the Dubai Autodrome. HRT will be competing in the GT3 and GT3 PRO/AM categories of the MICHELIN 24H DUBAI with one Mercedes-AMG GT3 each.

In the GT3 class, the #7 car is entered under the name SMP Racing by Haupt Racing Team. In addition to Denis Remenyako, Kirill Smal and Alexander Smolyar, the two former Formula 1 drivers Vitaly Petrov and Sergey Sirotkin will take turns at the wheel of the blue, white and red Mercedes-AMG GT3.

The second, turquoise and black Mercedes-AMG GT3 bears the starting number 4 and is driven by team founder Hubert Haupt, Romain Andriolo, Reema Juffali and Salman Owega. The quartet will be fighting for class victory in the 13-car GT3 PRO/AM classification.

The Haupt Racing Team secured a class win and an overall podium at the 24-hour race in Dubai on its debut in 2021. In 2024, the team from Drees did not compete in Dubai for the first time and is now making its comeback with two Mercedes-AMG GT3s.

The race weekend gets underway with free practice on Friday at 8:15 CET, with qualifying taking place at 14:05 CET. The 24-hour race starts on Saturday at 10:00 CET.

Sean Paul Breslin, Team principal Haupt Racing Team: „We want to present ourselves from our best side at the season opener and ideally start the new motorsport year with our first success. We have two top-class cars with which we want to be among the front runners in both classes. Of course, a 24-hour race is always a big challenge, but we are looking forward to take it on.“
