Mercedes-AMG Team HRT's preparations for the 2024 DTM season are in full swing. The team is already providing the first foretaste with the look of its two Mercedes-AMG GT3s. With MANNOL and Merbag, two strong partners of the Haupt Racing Team are once again represented on the cars of Mercedes-AMG Performance drivers Arjun Maini (IND) and Luca Stolz (GER) this year.
- Luca Stolz races in the legendary DTM for the first time in complete Merbag design
- Familiar MANNOL colours in a fresh look for Arjun Maini
For Mercedes-AMG Team HRT, the new DTM season starts with the official tests at the Hockenheimring from 9 to 11 April. The team from Drees will present the designs of its two Mercedes-AMG GT3s one month before the first test. Arjun Maini and Luca Stolz are entering their third season together in the DTM as the driver duo for Mercedes-AMG Team HRT. The team also relies on a well-rehearsed combination for its partners.
In the DTM, Luca Stolz is driving the Mercedes-AMG GT3 with starting number 4 in the complete Merbag design for the first time this year. The look is characterised by a stylish matt bronze-brown metallic and rounded off with white accents. Merbag has been on board as the exclusive mobility partner since 2022. The largest Mercedes-Benz dealer in Switzerland and leading representative of the Stuttgart brand in Europe has already featured prominently on the team's cars in the ADAC GT Masters in the past. With their joint involvement in the internationally renowned DTM, the Haupt Racing Team and Merbag are raising their successful cooperation to the next level.
Arjun Maini will once again be racing alongside Luca Stolz in MANNOL livery. The company has been the official lubricant partner of the Haupt Racing Team with its engine oils and additives since 2022. Last year, the collaboration was intensified with the appearance in the DTM. The dark blue design with yellow applications carried Arjun Maini to the points in nine races. The traditional colour combination will be retained in the second year of the joint DTM commitment. Slight modifications and smart details will ensure a fresh look when the 26-year-old Indian takes to the race track for the first time in the 2024 DTM season.
The new car designs will officially be on show for the first time on the race track at the DTM season opener in the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben from 26 to 28 April.
Ulrich Fritz, Chief Executive Officer of Haupt Racing Team: "Our two Mercedes-AMG GT3s for the new DTM season are a real eye-catcher. We are enormously proud of our strong partnerships, whose support is what makes the race possible in the first place. It is a particular pleasure to present our exclusive co-operation with Merbag on a first-class platform such as the DTM. The colour combination is really successful and with a race winner like Luca at the wheel, we will certainly get to see a lot of it. The continuation of our involvement with MANNOL shows the great trust in our team, for which we are very grateful. We will do everything we can with Arjun to repay it with good results. It will be a great moment when we see the cars on the track for the first time!"
