HRT AND BILSTEIN CONTINUE TECHNOLOGY AND STRATEGY PARTNERSHIP

PRESS INFORMATION | 9 March, 2023 |

In 2023, a successful cooperation enters its fourth year: Haupt Racing Team and technology partner BILSTEIN are attacking together again in this year's motorsport season.

  • Products and expertise from BILSTEIN's suspension specialists have made a decisive contribution to Haupt Racing Team's success since 2020
  • Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the blue and yellow BILSTEIN complete design to be used again in selected races and series in 2023

For Haupt Racing Team, BILSTEIN has been a partner from the very beginning. The partnership celebrated its premiere in 2020  the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring, where the GT3 team competed with a BILSTEIN Art Car. The cooperation has also been crowned by numerous sporting successes – most recently in the DTM, when Luca Stolz drove HRT's BILSTEIN Mercedes-AMG GT3 to its first DTM victory. At last year's 24-hour race at the Nürburgring, HRT won the Pro-Am class with an art car in the iconic "BILSTEIN Heritage Design".

Since 2020, HRT and BILSTEIN have continuously expanded and deepened their partnership. In addition to its role as technical supplier, this also includes important strategic aspects. For example, the team works closely with BILSTEIN specialists to make the cars even better and more competitive. This successful cooperation will be continued in the 2023 season. As in previous years, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the colors of the suspension specialist will complement the GT3 team's racing lineup. The striking blue and yellow complete design, which was created in close collaboration with BILSTEIN and will serve as the basis for all future paint schemes, will be used for the first time at the season opener of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) on March 18. As in previous years, the strategic partnership extends not only to the NLS but also to the DTM and the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring.

Ulrich Fritz, Chief Executive Officer Haupt Racing Team GmbH:
"We are very happy to be able to rely on BILSTEIN's experience and expertise again this year. Since our founding/foundation in 2020, we have celebrated great sporting highlights together and are hoping for many more successes in what is now the fourth year of our collaboration. As a technical partner, BILSTEIN is an essential part of our success, and we look forward to bringing Mercedes-AMG GT3s in the legendary blue-and-yellow design to the grid again in 2023."

Christoph Henkel, President/Head of Performance and Aftermarket Business thyssenkrupp Bilstein GmbH:
"2023 marks the fourth season of a successful cooperation between the Haupt Racing Team and BILSTEIN. We are proud to contribute our expertise in suspension technology to the success of such a renowned team and are delighted that the partnership has developed over the past three years from appearances in the NLS and at the Nürburgring 24-hour race to an extensive collaboration."
