Haupt Racing Team has been able to call on the support of a new, long-term team partner since start of the season. Lubricant manufacturer MANNOL is using its extensive know-how to help the successful motorsport team, as well as supplying it with many high-quality products from the company’s own range.

Global lubricant manufacturer MANNOL has been a new official partner of Haupt Racing Team since the start of the season. The company, which is based in the North German town of Wedel, produces engine and gear oils, radiator antifreeze, service fluids, and other vehicle maintenance products in its plant in Klaipėda, Lithuania. As the MANNOL range also includes products for high-performance vehicles and vehicles under great strain, the cooperation with a successful motorsport team is a logical step.
“Lubricants are an integral part of motorsport, so it was only a matter of time before we entered into a partnership with a professional racing team,” says Managing Director of MANNOL-Deutschland, Konstantin Gaab. The company is understandably pleased to have “found a strong and successful partner in HRT”.
Goal of the cooperation
As well as an extensive data exchange, the partnership also includes the provision of high-quality lubricants from the company’s portfolio. As these products are of great importance in motorsport, with regard to performance and reliability, MANNOL and Haupt Racing Team will work together to continuously develop the products and optimise them for use in motorsport. The cooperation covers all the racing series, in which HRT will line up in the 2022 season – for example, the Nürburgring Endurance Series, the GT World Challenge, the DTM, and various 24-hour races.
As it was at the season-opener, the MANNOL logo will feature prominently in several places on each HRT car – including in front of the A-pillars and at the corners of the car. One particular milestone in the cooperation awaits both partners at the 24 Hours of Spa, which forms part of the GT World Challenge Europe. One of the HRT GT3 will start in a full MANNOL livery at the endurance classic in the Ardennes.
Promising start in Dubai
The first joint appearance of the two cooperation partners, at the Hankook Dubai 24H event a fortnight ago, was a promising one. At the Dubai Autodrome, the MANNOL logo adorned the team’s blue and yellow #4 Mercedes-AMG GT3 and the chestnut brown #777 Mercedes-AMG GT3, which ended the endurance classic in fine fourth and fifth places. The next joint event also takes place in the emirate on the Persian Gulf: the Asian Le Mans Series kicks off its new season on 12th February.
