HRT GETS THE NEW MOTORSPORT SEASON UNDERWAY IN DUBAI 24H RACE – CHASSISSIM, PACETEQ AND RIEDEL COMMUNICATIONS NEW TEAM PARTNERS

PREVIEW | 11 January, 2022 | Dubai / United Arab Emirates

For Haupt Racing Team, the 2022 motorsport season starts with a veritable highlight: the Hankook 24H DUBAI, held at Dubai Autodrome from 13-15 January, 2022. In the first race of the year, HRT will be running a pair of Mercedes-AMG GT3s in the Pro class and intends to build on the achievements from last year in which the team from Meuspath scored a podium finish and a class win in the metropolis in the Gulf region. Moreover, HRT is welcoming ChassisSim, PACETEQ and RIEDEL as three new partner companies, further strengthening the team’s performance with their support.

At the circuit in Dubai, drivers alternating behind the wheel of the #4 Mercedes-AMG GT3, sporting a full blue-and-yellow livery by team partner Bilstein, will be Khaled Al Qubaisi (UAE), Hubert Haupt (GER), Raffaele Marciello (ITA) and Manuel Metzger (GER). The driver quartet of the sister car with starting number 777 consists of Al Faisal Al Zubair (OMA), Indy Dontje (NED), Martin Konrad (AUT) and Luca Stolz (GER). The maroon-coloured Mercedes-AMG GT3 is carrying the livery of team sponsor Al Manar Financial Investments and is running under the Al Manar Racing by HRT banner.

Khaled Al Qubaisi and team owner Hubert Haupt have already enjoyed great success at the circuit in the desert state: in 2020, together with Jeroen Bleekemolen (NED), they racked up their third overall win in the 24H DUBAI, becoming the first drivers to achieve this feat.

Moreover, HRT is providing substantial technical and logistical support for the CapitalRT-YADRO team that is running its Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the Pro-Am category. The car’s drivers are Denis Remenyako, Victor Shaytar and Sergey Stolyarov (all RUS).

82 cars have been entered for the 2022 24H DUBAI. The race starts on Friday, 14 January, at 3pm local time (noon CET).

HRT welcomes ChassisSim, PACETEQ und RIEDEL Communications as new technology partners

In time for the start of the 2022 motorsport season, Haupt Racing Team has bolstered up with new team partners: the cooperation with the specialists from ChassisSim, PACETEQ and RIEDEL Communications is to further enhance HRT’s performance and to celebrate success together in the new year.

ChassisSim is one of the world’s most advanced and most exact vehicle dynamics simulation packages. The transient multi-body calculation method facilitates quick and exact results that allow for conscious and intelligent modifications on the car. “We have been watching the progress of HRT for a while and we are looking forward to working together. We are convinced that both the team and we at ChassisSim will benefit from this newly created cooperation,” says Danny Nowlan, Director at ChassisSim.

Technology company PACETEQ is specialised in innovative software solutions and technologies as well as data analytics in the motorsport segment. “The racing industry is more complex and competitive than it has ever been. We are delighted that a well-established and championship-winning team such as HRT trusts our know-how,” Alexander Bodo, CEO of PACETEQ, is looking forward to the cooperation.

Riedel Communications designs, manufactures, and distributes pioneering real-time video, audio, data, and communications networks and has been supplying specialized radio- and intercom systems to motorsports events and teams since 1993. From now on, the company from Wuppertal will be Haupt Racing Team’s official communication supplier. Marc Schneider, Sales Director Global Events at RIEDEL Communications: “HRT and Riedel are united in their passion for motorsports and cutting-edge technology, so this partnership truly is a perfect match.”

“In order to being successful in international GT racing, excellent communication procedures and fast information processing are of decisive significance. With ChassisSim, PACETEQ and RIEDEL Communications, we now have strong partners by our side in these areas. We are looking forward to the cooperations and we are delighted about the confidence that has been put in our still young team as all three companies are acknowledged specialists in their respective fields of activities,” says Ulrich Fritz, Managing Director of Haupt Racing Team.

Al Faisal Al Zubair, #777 Al Manar Racing by HRT: “I am really delighted to be starting the new year with a race in Dubai. Dubai Autodrome is a circuit at which I am feeling really comfortable. Together with my fellow drivers and a great team like HRT in the back, I will prepare for being in contention at the front!”

Hubert Haupt, Team Owner HRT / #4 HRT: “For me, the 24H DUBAI is a very special race, also because I have already had great success here. This year, again, we are racing with huge ambitions, we want to be contenders for victory with both our cars and we want to get the new motorsport season off to a successful start.”

Luca Stolz, #777 Al Manar Racing by HRT: “When the season is starting with a highlight like the Dubai 24-hour race, you don’t need any extra motivation as a driver. We will be prepared in the best way heading to Dubai and we want to start the motorsport year with a win.”

Sean Paul Breslin, Team Principal Haupt Racing Team: “Like every endurance race, the 24H DUBAI will be a huge challenge for our entire team. Still, I am confident that we will be successful in the race and that we will get important insights from which we will benefit in the course of the season. For 2022, we have huge ambitions and we are really delighted to finally be getting out onto the race track again.”
